Lobster Lovers
We are suckers for good seafood and when the craving strikes - we go all out! Our intention was to pick up some crab legs, well when Fresh Market was out, we went with the next best thing - LOBSTER!
Lobster is normally intimidating, but let me tell you, it's actually super simple to make at home! A simple garlic butter sauce is all that you need to a fantastic treat!
INGREDIENTS:
4 tablespoons of unsalted butter
1 tablespoon of minced garlic
Salt & Pepper to taste
Lemon
Lobster Tails (we made 2 from Fresh Market!)
RECIPE:
Pre-heat your oven on the Broil setting at 500 degrees.
Prep the Lobster: using a pair of kitchen sheers cut directly down the center of the tail (it is ok to cut into the meat! This can help ensure it cooks throughout). Slightly pull back the shell, it is okay to hear it crack - that makes it easier, separate the meat from the shell and place the meat on the outside. This makes it easier to eat at the end and allows for a beautiful and impressive aesthetic!
In a microwave safe boil combine your butter, garlic, salt & pepper. Heat for 30 second increments until fully melted.
Place your tails onto a baking sheet and coat your Lobster meat in your simple garlic butter sauce! Prior to placing in the oven add enough water to coat the base of your pan!
Now it's time to Broil! I would recommend keeping your tails in the oven for approximately 7 to 9 minutes (roughly 1 minute per ounce). Utilizing the broil technique will ensure that the tail itself turns a beautiful red color that is perfect for presentation.
Keep an eye on it, as it's easy to overcook. I like to apply more of my garlic butter sauce throughout the broil process.
Time for plating! Keep the meat attached to the tail and plate the entire thing - this will truly impress your guests or enhance the ambiance of your dinner. Drench in more of your garlic butter and place a garnish of a lemon wedge on the side
bon appetit

We also added some simple sweet chili shrimp that we picked up at Lidl!
